A little bit of this and that

I can't believe that this school year is almost over!!! I am going to be one sad mama when Drew starts kinder at our neighborhood school. I have really enjoyed him being at the same school as me and our numerous "lunch dates".

Ainsley is still at her school and we are thrilled with her being there.
Last week they celebrated "Week of the Young Child" and each day they dressed up to the culture of  various countries. Our favorite was Mexico day which was perfect timing for Fiesta!

Ainsley is officially a shoe-aholic.
Every morning she raids my closet and plays with all my shoes. It's really not a problem until she takes 5-10 pairs down and leaves them tossed around the floor.

Bluebonnets

I was so excited to see all of the bluebonnet's around town this year.
Our weekends have been pretty packed lately so I had to use what time I had to stop by and take some photos.

a day at Zilker Park

Last Saturday, Micky & I decided to get everyone together for day down at Zilker Park.
Micky had heard good reviews about Home Slice Pizza so we made our first stop there for lunch.
This painted sign was across the street so it was a perfect photo-op!

After delicious pizza we walked over to the infamous Hey Cupcake and treated ourselves to a variety of delicatessen's. Our favorite was the "Michael Jackson" which consisted of white icing and a chocolate cake!

After our bellies were full we drove over to Barton Springs and enjoyed the afternoon playing at the park. It fills my heart to see the sweet, natural friendship between Ainsley and Ellison.

One of the best parts about their friendship is Ellison's older sister Jewell.
Drew adores her and they play together so well.
Most of the time they ignore the younger two, but at this particular moment they felt the need to give them some lovin'.
I had to take a picture of this rare occasion.

We needed to cool down before we hopped on the train and our lucky kids stumbled upon a snow cone vendor.
Lucky them.

We all drove home and "re-grouped" before heading back over to the Morris' house for a cook-out.
Both the girls have recently transitioned their cribs into toddler beds so Ains' was shocked to see Elle's new bed.

The girl's loved taking a bath togehter and most of all they LOVED pretending to be asleep in Elle's bed.

Easter at home

We usually head to Dallas for Easter Sunday but since I spent the weekend in Round Top, we decided to have a low key Easter.
The kids woke up to find their Easter baskets filled with goodies!

Then we were off to church.

The weather was very gloomy and we heard lost of thunder from the distance.
We went ahead and hid half the eggs in the house just in case we had a quick down pour.
When the kids woke from their nap they searched high and low for all the eggs inside.
The weather finally passed over so they continued their egg hunt in the front yard.

It's was a Chuck E. Cheese kind of day...

I have to say, my child has only been to Chuck E. Cheese twice in his life. Since then, he has asked over and over for us to take him. Reluctantly, both Andy & I have managed to "change the subject".
Neither one of us care for the "idea" of a center full of children filled with germs.

We knew Drew would love a party at Chuck E Cheese so Andy & I decided to give in.
I can't tell you the look on his face when I told him where his party would be.

I will say that this particular Chuck E Cheese was VERY clean!!!

This is Bella who is in the Kinder class that Drew gets to spend half the day in.
Drew and Bella have grown very attached to each other this year.
I have learned one thing about girls in Kinder....... they are far more advanced in the area of "dating" than boys.
