Thanksgiving Feast

Ainsley's school had their annual Thanksgiving Feast and since Drew and I were off all week we came over to get all the food ready and served.
Ainsley's class was dressed up as the Indian's this year and all the girls in her class kept their hats on all afternoon. Good thing their mama's prepped them for this by wearing bows everyday!

Date Day with Drew

Drew and I are off all week for the Thanksgiving break and I had planned a perfect day date.
We drove 14 miles to the MetroRail station and rode the train all the way into downtown Austin.

Drew was convinced we were on the Polar Express and asked the conductor if they had any food on board.

Once downtown, we met up with Andy for a bite to eat.
We enjoyed the perfect weather, cool live music and excellent people watching.

TCU vs. KState

This Saturday we drove back up for the KState game in Fort Worth.
We made sure we got there in plenty of time to head over to Frog Alley for the family fun festivities!

Luckily there was not a line for the face painting so Drew jumped right in and had a horn frog placed on his check. It was a very "manly" horn frog too.

Our eyes caught a glimpse of Super Frog so we told Drew to run over and get a quick picture.
It's one for the books.....

We scored big at Frog Alley. We came home with about 12 koozies, 3 necklaces, 3 bracelets, 5 flags, stickers, cookies an a authentic Horny Toad in purple.

The game was a "Blackout" game so we were all dressed in our best TCU black.

Like every other home game, we have to make it in on time for Andy and Drew to run on the field.

Andy has taught our son well. The addiction to TCU football has entered his blood stream and there is no turning back. My child's favorite song is the TCU fight song and please think of me when your driving to work...... I am playing this song over and over on our 25 minute commute to school.

Lazy Saturdays

Drew had his last football game for the 2nd season. This year we were on the Jets, and Andy was lucky enough to coach. We carried over 3 guys from the last team and it worked in our favor.
They knew the rules and understood how the game was to be played. Which really was better for the new kids on the team.
We had a great season and our team did EXCELLENT!!!

While Andy went out hunting, the kids and I cuddled up and watched the Polar Express.

Trick or Treating

Micky and I had been discussing ideas for the girl's Halloween costumes for the past few months.
We thought about getting all 4 kids to be in the same theme, but Drew had his eye on
Batman so it was a battle I was not willing to fight.
Luckily, Jewels was game for being SuperWoman!
Any excuse to wear a fancy tutu and cute red boots!!

These 2 were so cute together!

So that led us to transforming Ains and Elle into Scarecrow Princesses!
(You might have seen this floating around Pinterest!)

Quinn, Ellison and Ainsley taking a break.

Drew and Jewls took off while we stood back with the little ones.
They made laps around the little ones.
I finally caught up to Drew and he was so sweet to Ains and
offered to take her to a few more houses by himself.

I was able to sneak in and snap a quick photo!

The little one's were over the wagon a long time ago and begged to be held.
What's the point of pushing an empty wagon?

Just Because

Brother and sister,
together as friends,
ready to face
whatever life sends.
Joy and laughter
or tears and strife,
holding hands tightly
as we dance through life.

Pre-Halloween Fun

We had a very busy October but we made time to carve and paint a few pumpkins for my sweet pumpkins.

Football

Drew's football season is wrapping up and we have been very impressed with skills this year. He has improved drastically this year and has scored several touchdowns.

The struggle has been keep Ainsely OFF the football field.

After one of Drew's games we packed up and headed to Honkey Town for the TCU/Tech game. We love that the Winden girls live so close to campus because we can park in their driveway and walk to the stadium!!!

Last Stop: Domain Carneros

Our final destination was a Sparkling Wine tasting at Domain Carneros.
It is a gorgeous building with beautiful views. Then again, there are not many spots in Napa that do not have great views.

We enjoyed great drinks and even better conversations!!
We all signed and dated the Cork to keep as a memento.
We each talked about our favorite thing on the trip, one thing we'd love to see/do again, and the least favorite thing we did.

Cheers to a great trip with the best of friends!!!

Athela was the best driver and if you are ever in the area and need one let me know!!!
She was a trooper to handle our husbands humor and our OCD behavior!!!
